On Thursday 28th July the Summer Team Mixed Scramble was a great success!

Captains Day- 24th August 2008
Winners on the day:
· The men's winner was Martin Smith, and the runner-up was James Jordan.
· The ladies event was won by Daisy Wakelin, and Karen McKellar was runner-up.
· The winner from the Junior section was Alex Anderson, and Thomas Clark finished runner-up.
£350 was raised for the Newhaven Sea Cadets!

Well done to the mens team who recently won back the Bill Holland Team event Trophy by quite some winning margin! Good work guys!

The Social Scramble that was on
Thursday 17th July was a great success!
Good golf, a great curry, prizes, and all washed down with a couple of drinks!!

2008 Course Championships (Mens & Ladies)
(Steve, Karen & James)
 Karen McKellar won the
Ladies Club Championship which was played
over 27 holes.
Playing off 23, Karen took home the trophy for not just the best gross score, but also the best nett total aswell!
The mens event was
won by Steve Watts with scores of 75 & 66
(playing off 5) for an
aggregate total
of 141 (+1) and the
nett prize was won
by James Jordan.
Steve's second round score of 66 was extra special as he not only left his competitors standing, but in doing so set a new course record!
